About
Noora Nujum Niyaz
Noora is an emerging UAE-based writer and performing artist whose work spans musical theatre, poetry, and vocal performance. Her artistic journey began at a young age, shaped by a deep passion for storytelling, creativity, and expressive performance. Today, she stands as a multidisciplinary talent—an author of three published books, a trained vocalist, and a musical theatre student dedicated to refining her craft and contributing meaningfully to the cultural landscape.
Noora’s foundation in the arts was strengthened through Mawhibaty, a prestigious talent-development initiative established by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT) and the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). From 2018 to 2022, she received rigorous, structured training in performance, voice, and artistic development. Mawhibaty played a pivotal role in shaping Noora’s early discipline, confidence, and artistic identity, providing her with expert mentorship and opportunities to perform on professional platforms.
Her dedication and talent were further recognized when she earned the Abu Dhabi Young Musician Award in 2022, a significant achievement celebrating her vocal excellence and commitment to musical growth. This award marked an important milestone in her journey as a young performer and encouraged her to pursue her passion at a higher level.
Alongside her performance career, Noora is the author of three published works—Treasures of School Days (2022), A Vivid Memory (2024), and Carried with Kindness (2025)—all launched at the Sharjah International Book Fair. Her books reflect her evolution as a writer and her ability to translate emotion, experience, and gratitude into meaningful literary expression.
Driven by creativity, cultural engagement, and the desire to inspire others through her artistry, Noora continues to explore new possibilities in performance and writing. With solid training, recognized achievements, and a growing presence in the literary and performing arts communities, she represents a new generation of artists dedicated to shaping stories with passion, authenticity, and purpose.
Currently Noora is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre at the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA)—a UNESCO University Network member for Higher Education in Performing Arts. At SPAA, she continues to refine her skills in singing, acting, movement, and character development under the guidance of international faculty and industry experts. Her training enables her to merge classical vocal discipline with contemporary theatre techniques, shaping her into a versatile and expressive performer.
2022: Belcanto in Tuscany (BCT) Summary Opera School in Florence Italy:
Attended a three-week intensive training program for singers and opera coaches in Greve in Chianti, Italy. Under the leadership and vision of Maestro Giovanni Reggioli, a team of world-renowned teaching artists from Europe and the States offers a uniquely well-rounded educational experience that emphasizes every discipline within the field of opera.
Nestled among cypress trees and rolling hills, Greve in Chianti is the perfect backdrop for learning the Bel Canto singing style and Italian language. Each participant is immersed in Italian culture while working closely with all of the faculty in daily lessons, coachings, masterclasses, lectures, language classes, and acting classes. Staged concerts for Italian audiences at exquisite local venues cap off the experience with opportunities for participants to apply new knowledge and technique in performance.
Received training from Mawhibaty (Established by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT) and the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) from 2018.
